In the UK, it’s estimated that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss during pregnancy or birth and at Birmingham Women’s Hospital we care for over 2,000 grieving mums and dads every year who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss.

We recognise more needs to be done to honour the loss of our bereaved families, which is why we’re raising £3.5 million to bring Woodland House, a brand new, purpose built bereavement centre to our hospital.

The statistics around pregnancy and baby loss are shocking, and yet it remains a taboo subject. That’s why we’re asking you to stand with us this Baby Loss Awareness Week, to donate £10, or whatever you can, to our Woodland House Appeal, to help change the experience of our bereaved families.

Time to think. Space to breathe.

Woodland House will help set a new standard of pregnancy and baby loss bereavement care nationally. This dedicated, standalone bereavement centre will provide a safe, secure and serene space, away from the hustle and bustle of the main hospital, where our grieving families can spend time together before they feel ready to face the world again.

Help us make Woodland House a reality.
