Fundraising Ideas

Your company can make a huge difference to the lives of our women, babies and families.

Employee fundraising

Why not fundraise for us and support families within your business?

Uniting your staff in supporting the hospital is a fantastic way to boost pride in your company and help set you apart from your competitors. Additionally, with fundraising activities often doubling as team-building exercises, supporting us can improve employee relations by bringing together different areas to promote unity and motivation as your employees work towards a shared goal.

Why not participate in office fundraising, hold a samosa sale, cake sale, dress down day, raffles or try your luck with a sweepstake?

We also encourage you to get competitive! You can build team spirit with business challenges through football, rugby, cricket matches, quiz nights or even by hosting your own Golf Day! Here are some more fundraising ideas you could get involved in.

Sponsorship

We’re always keen to find sponsors to work on our events, to maximise event income and to add value to our corporate partnerships.  Through sponsorship, you could reach out to the local community, or support an event attracting an important customer base for you. By working with us you can platform your brand to new audiences.

Importantly, an audience who shares your passion to support the amazing work of our hospital.  To hear more about how you can get involved please get in touch with our dedicated corporate team by emailing [email protected] or calling 0121 335 8040.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a smart, simple and tax-effective way to give to charity straight from your pay cheque every month. Donations are taken off before tax, just like a pension, so giving £5 per month will actually only cost you £4! By signing up to Payroll Giving, you can make payday even better by knowing that your payslip is helping us do more for women, babies and families.

Whilst Payroll Giving has so many benefits in its ease and tax-efficiency, it also allows us to plan for the long-term care of patients in our hospital. For your business, just by taking part in Payroll Giving, you can use the Quality Mark on across your communication channels, which is a great way to highlight your work in CSR. Why not go further and pledge to match employee donations from Payroll Giving?

Payroll Giving couldn't be easier to set up, all you need to do is complete a form provided by your Human Resources team and then your payroll department will do the rest.

Ward Decorations

Could your company help us bring the magic of Christmas to Birmingham Women's Hospital?

Christmas is our favourite time of the year and we need businesses to support our wards and make sure every patient and their family spends December in a Winter Wonderland! By sponsoring a ward, your company will be invited into the hospital to deck the halls of your ward and learn more about our incredible staff and patients. Find out more about ward decorations.

Could you be an Ambassador?

We know that many of you are already very passionate about our hospital and therefore you are our greatest commodity.

Having ambassadors to spread the word of the life-changing work we do at the hospital every day can be very refreshing to our supporters. No one can tell their personal stories better than you. We want to provide you with the platform in which to share your stories. Whether it be speaking at a corporate event, or taking new corporate supporters on a tour, we want you to be the voice of our charity.

Corporate Gift in Kind

Does your business have a core competency or skill which you think could help our charity? Working with us by offering gift in kind brings value both to your employees, who can share their knowledge and skills to support us in delivering our campaigns and fundraiser more effectively.

Another vital area that your business could support us in is the donation of meeting room space! We have limited space to hold meetings at our office and are always looking for spaces in Birmingham for our team to meet. If you think you could spare a few hours of one of your rooms then please do get in touch today!

If you think that your business could share your skills and support us through gift in kind, please get in touch and e-mail [email protected] or complete our Contact Us form - we look forward to working with you!
