Could you, your family and friends take part in a Woodland Walk for our bereaved families?

We’re asking our supporters to organise a sponsored walk with their small bubble of family and friends during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) or another day of your choosing, to raise money for our Woodland House Appeal, and help us to break the silence around pregnancy and baby loss.

Our hospital cares for over 2,000 grieving mums and dads every year who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. We need to raise £3.5million to bring a brand-new, purpose-built centre to our hospital, which is away from the hustle and bustle of the main hospital, where families can spend time together in safe, secure and serene surroundings before they feel ready to face the world again.

To take part, simply gather your group and then choose where you’d like to do your walk. It could be your favourite walk in your local park, a nearby country park or along a special nature trail. Why not get everyone to wear purple in support of our charity or wear a sign in memory of a baby on your walk?

Whatever your plans, we’ll be there to guide you every step of the way with advice on social distancing on the day, how to set up a page on Just Giving to collect sponsorship, and how to promote your fundraising on social media.

All the sponsorship you raise will make a massive difference to our hospital and the service that our Bereavement Team can give to those experiencing baby loss.
