If you or a loved one are expecting a new delivery at our hospital why not celebrate with a fundraising Baby Shower? Our brand new pack will give you loads of materials and ideas to help you to organise a fun filled party ahead of the new baby. There’s games and quizzes available to help you raise money on the day, or run wild with your own ideas. Whatever you do, our pack will help your guests remember that you're fundraising to support the women, babies and families using our hospital every day.

Let’s get planning your baby shower!

Is this a surprise shower or are you letting the parents-to-be make the decisions? Either way it’s vital we find out when our guests of honour are free to attend.

First steps

Pre-Party Plans

Guests may want to bring a gift or contribute to one of the ‘bigger’ items a baby needs (some of these can be expensive so it’s a great way to help a new family). If you’ve chosen to have the Baby Shower at home or in a park you could ask everyone to bring something yummy to share and keep the catering costs really low!

Depending on the group you may want to ask them to prepare something before arriving at the shower. This could be a letter of encouragement to the new parents to help them through those tough first few weeks or maybe a letter to baby for when they turn 16.

Push the fundraising to a brilliant total

Contact the fundraising team to get a collection tin, maybe you can pop it next to the buffet in case anyone would like to donate a little more and help you all raise a fantastic amount for the charity.

Please do register your Baby Shower with us. This will allow us to make sure you have everything you need to make your shower a success!

For guests who are unable to attend, you could ask them to donate to our charity in the name of the Baby Shower. All they need to do is follow the simple steps on our Donation page. You could also set up an online fundraising page if there are friends and family that can’t attend on the day but want to donate to fundraising rather than sending a gift. Remember friends and family oversees can easily give through Just Giving.
