We're delighted to have unveiled a brand-new art installation at our Women’s Hospital, thanks to our wonderful charity partner, Castle Fine Art.

We’re extremely proud of the clinical services we provide. Yet we know our hospital environment is also important and makes a massive difference to our patients and colleagues, helping them to feel relaxed.

Our main corridor at the Women’s Hospital has hundreds of people walking up and down it every day. Now, thanks to Castle Fine Art’s fabulous generosity, our women, families and staff can enjoy a spectacular display of stunning artwork as they travel along, from brilliant artists up and down the country, including the likes of Paul Kenton, Scarlett Raven and Nic Joly. The artwork features beautiful landscapes, modern cityscapes, and even some pop art, so there truly is something for everyone to admire.

To officially unveil the collection, our CEO, Sarah-Jane Marsh, made a short speech touching on the difference the artwork will make to everyone at the hospital, before doing the honours and untying the ribbon alongside Janette Vyse, our Arts Programme Lead.

Janette comments: “We’re simply blown away by the generous donation from Castle Fine Art. Art forms an important part of our hospitals, it can really help to improve the experience of our patients, whether that’s helping them to feel relaxed, lift their spirits or providing a distraction from treatment. It also improves the well-being of our staff and gives a sense of pride in their working environment, as they walk up and down the corridors, and throughout the wards.

“We’ve had some really lovely comments from people who have stopped to admire the pictures, and we owe Castle Fine Art a massive thank you for making such a difference to our women, staff and families.”

If you’re at the Women’s Hospital, please do take the time to have a wander and admire the beautiful pictures.
