How do I buy my ticket?

How do I access the event?

You will be emailed a streaming link with your personal log in details for our Big Gig after 12pm on Saturday 13 June.

Please note if you click on the link before 3.30pm you're a bit early! We suggest checking back at 3.30pm. We will be going live at 4pm on the dot.

Can I share my link with others?

We politely ask you not to share your link with other people - these events are being held to support Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. Please help us to raise as much money as possible by keeping the link to yourself, and encouraging others to purchase their own ticket!

Why haven’t I received my link yet?

You will receive an email containing a link to the live stream. You should receive this email roughly 2 hours before the event on Saturday 13 June, as to minimise sneaky link sharing! Please check your junk mail if it is not in your inbox. Please only contact us in the instance that you haven’t received your link an hour before the event begins. 

My link isn’t working, what do I do?

Please make sure you are using the most up to date link that has been sent to you. We may be experiencing technical issues - please bear with us and keep an eye on our social channels for updates! If you are still having trouble, please contact [email protected]

How safe is it?

Staff will be monitoring both platforms throughout the event. Anyone displaying abusive or offensive behaviour will be removed immediately by the team. Our host and other attendees will not be able to see or hear you during the event.

Will everyone be able to see and hear me?

No! Guests will not be able to see or hear each other - you will only be able to see and hear the host and entertainment, 

Why do I need to register my email address?

We ask for your email address so we can contact you with information (including the Live stream link) about the event. We will only contact you with information about the Virtual Big Gig, unless you have opted in to other communications during your sign up.

Is it appropriate for children?

We aim to make all our events open to everyone, however we do recommend watching with a parent or guardian if you are under 16! Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity are not responsible for the actions of the participants. Due to the nature of the event, we cannot guarantee there won’t be any slips of the tongue, but our events are intended for general viewing. 

Can you only watch if you live in the UK?

The Virtual Big Gig is available for anyone to watch, worldwide! If you’re outside of the UK, make sure that you tune it at the right time - all events are scheduled in British Summer Time

General Information

These events are appropriate for general viewing but some content may be considered unsuitable for younger children. Younger children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Any opinions expressed by the participants of this event, do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. All profits from the Virtual Big Gig events are given directly to Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. Our acts and performers are not being paid, but are generously giving up their time for free.

HOUSE RULES

Rule 1 – Be Kind

Please be respectful towards the host and other guests during our event. Any guest displaying abusive or offensive behaviour will be removed by the event team immediately without warning. This includes - but is not limited to - abusive behaviour targeting race, gender, disability, age or religious beliefs.
