Is your Birthday coming up and you’re looking for a way to support Birmingham Women’s Hospital Charity?

There are lots of ways that you can choose to involve us on the day.

If you’re a celebrating a milestone birthday this year, why not take on a crazy personal challenge to mark the occasion whilst also raising vital funds for our charity?

There are lots of different challenges you could choose to undertake; physical challenges like a marathon; 2000km walk or 3 Peaks Challenge (either virtually or in the flesh!) or why not undertake a skydive or a Give It Up challenge to mark the milestone?

An easy way would be to request donations instead of presents by setting up your own celebration page on JustGiving, just like Dhruv and Kajal Parekh, from Solihull, did when their son Myan turned one.

Myan was born on 28 February 2019 at 29 weeks, as a consequence of maternal sepsis. His parents have said that although this was a scary time, the care and support received from the Fetal Medicine and Neonatal Teams at our hospital went above and beyond what they expected.

We will always be grateful for the professionalism and the care we received and wanted to be able to say thank you, as did a lot of our family and close friends, who were very much part of Myan’s journey. We thought his first birthday would be a great opportunity to raise some funds and give back.

We asked guests at Myan’s birthday party to make a donation in lieu of a gift. We were overwhelmed with the generosity and think our guests were happy to have the opportunity to contribute to a cause so close to our hearts.
