Pregnancy and baby loss is a devastating and uniquely personal experience and for approximately 2,000 families a year at our hospital, it is a heartbreaking and challenging reality.
Ahead of this year’s Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October), we wanted to invite you to join us in making Woodland House a reality, whilst remembering all the precious little lives that have been lost at our hospital.
Friday 15 October marks this year’s International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day and we will be taking part in the globally-acknowledged Wave of Light celebration by lighting candles in front of our hospital. You can join us in commemorating Baby Loss Awareness Week in a number of different ways:
For a donation towards our Woodland House Appeal, you can pick your very own sparkling light on our Wave of Light Memory Tree, which can be personalised with a special message to remember a precious life lost or in support of our grieving families.
If you’re interesting in fundraising for our Woodland House Appeal, why not organise or sign up to a Woodland Walk?
We have created a special candle, which can be purchased for a donation (minimum of £12), and lit up at home during the Wave of Light celebration on Friday 15 October. All proceeds go towards our Woodland House Appeal.
